Modifications differ from award to award, but in the majority of awards mishap pay and district allowances will no longer be payable from 31 December 2014. The level of redundancy pay included in some awards is likewise affected.

Some pre-modern awards entitled workers to get yearly rewards, Christmas allowances or annual leave bonuses. These privileges end on 31 December 2014. From 1 January 2015, staff members are no longer entitled to get these allowances or perks, unless you are required to pay them under a staff member's agreement of work or any business agreement that is appropriate to your company.

There will be an increase in minimum rates (by 5% of the rate for Level 3) for second and first year apprentices who began on or after 1 January 2014 (and finished Year 12), efficient from the very first pay period on or after 1 January 2015.

From 1 January 2015, employees are no longer entitled to receive extra leave, unless you are required to offer this under a worker's agreement of work or any enterprise contract that is relevant to your organisation.

Transitional provisions in relation to minimum engagement periods for part-time and casual employees in circumstances where there has not been an agreement change for a site or structure because 1 January 2010 cease to use from 31 December 2014. From 1 January 2015, minimum engagement periods will rather be set by referral to the total cleansing location under clause 24.2 of the award.

Telecommunications Services Award 2014

Some pre-modern awards in WA needed some company to reimburse staff members for the expenses of going through health screening or obtaining a cops clearance. These entitlements end on 31 December 2014. From 1 January 2015, staff members are no longer entitled to be reimbursed, unless you are needed to pay them under a staff member's contract of employment or any enterprise contract that applies to your company.

Telecom Services Malicious Use

Fundamental district allowances in NT and WA will not be payable from 1 January 2015, unless you are required to pay these under a staff member's agreement of employment or any business agreement that is applicable to your service.

Unique provisions (under Schedule G of the award) concerning income and conditions for employees who would have been covered by the Municipal Managers (Tasmania) Award 2003 cease to apply from 31 December 2014. There will be an increase to the minimum rates of pay for some very first and second year apprentices under particular awards.
